Take a look at the Jellycat Summer 2024 Releases!

Hi everyone!

Well, just as soon as I was excited about getting Smudge Fox, Jellycat goes and announces the brand new Summer 2024 range!

There are so many I want from this range! I will point out some of the highlights of this set of releases, then list the full range at the end of this article.

My favourites from this range are…

Amuseable Skateboard

Jellycat Amuseable Sports Skateboard Summer 2024This little guy looks great! Amuseable Skateboard has lots of little details, like the little bolts on top of the board, his little trainers and on the back, he has black wheels!

The best part is the bright orange rear, which has the word “Jellycat” written in black, stylised graffiti writing!

How cool is that?!

Ricky Rain Frog Rubber Ring

Jellycat Ricky Rain Frog Rubber Ring Summer 2024Ricky Rain Frog is now ready for the beach!

Equipped with his bright yellow duckie rubber ring, he definitely looks the part for a day out at the seaside!

He doesn’t look too amused about it though…

Bartholomew Bear Strawberry

Bart looks like he’s getting ready for Wimbledon, donning his bright red strawberry outfit!

He’s got his swimming goggles on and just look at those little blue flippers!

He is just egg-cellent!

Chip Seagull

Jellycat Chip Seagull Summer 2024How adorable is Chip Seagull?!

This chonky little seagull has the wildest hair and I love his stubby little legs!

I think he may have also stolen a few too many chips as well…

He is just perfect!

Amuseable Sandcastle

Jellycat Amuseable Sandcastle Summer 2024Perhaps the most eagerly awaited Jellycat of the Summer 2024 releases is Amuseable Sandcastle.

I can see why as just look at her! She has so much detail, like her little windows and door and colourful seashells!

She is rather pricey at around £45, but to be fair, she is a little more complicated than most Amuseables. Making those turrets the right shape and getting her to stand upright would take a bit more effort than most Jellycats. Plus she has more detail and stitching that would all add up in cost.

Jellycat Smudge Fox Review

Hi everyone!

I’m so happy because my Smudge Fox arrived!

I ordered him on the event day on Tuesday 2nd April and I couldn’t believe that he arrived the very next day!

It’s taken me a couple of days to be able to post a review, but here he is!

Jellycat Smudge Fox
The pictures here don’t do him justice as in real life he is more of a rusty, red-orange colour. He appears a lot brighter in reality, but he is sooo soft and cute!

He sits well upright and can be positioned laying down too in the classic Smudge way.

Another super adorable thing about him is that his tail is slightly curved. This means that when you sit him upright, you can curl it around his feet!

He is the perfect cuddling size and so lovely and floppy. I love all the multiple ways you can position him, including the classic “resting your head on your paws” position.

His hang tag, like all new Jellycat tags, is attached with a cotton thread to be more environmentally friendly.

His style number code is SMG2F and his tag reads:

I am
Medium
Smudge Fox

Please look after me.

The only minor (totally fixable) criticism I have about him is that he needs a little trim around his eyes and nose as they tend to get hidden behind his fur. This is easy to do with a pair of nail scissors, so I will be giving him a little trim in due course.

My thoughts…

I wasn’t going to buy Smudge Fox at first, but I’m so glad I did. He is not only better than I thought he would be, he is so floppy and adorable that I couldn’t possibly NOT fall in love with him!

I will be however, giving his eyes a trim so he can “see” a little better.

Adding Vintage Jellycats to the database!

Vintage Jellycat Database

Hi everyone!

I have been working on adding more Jellycats to the database, but specifically I would like to include more vintage Jellycats to the website, particularly from the 1990’s and early 2000’s.

My aim is to make Jelly Collector the most comprehensive list of Jellycats so that collectors can enjoy tracking their collection, or they may come across Jellycats that they might not yet own so they can add them to their ISO/wish list.

I also want this website to be helpful for people finding old Jellycat friends that they may have once owned and misplaced.

The Jellycat website only lists retired Jellycats as far back as those that were retired in 2010, so finding vintage Jellycats, and particularly any information on them from earlier years can be a little tricky.

If anyone owns any vintage Jellycats that are not yet on Jelly Collector that they would like to be added to the website, please let me know so that I can try and make this database as complete as possible for other collectors to enjoy! Any additional information, such as names, year of release/retirement would be very welcome indeed.

Smudge Fox Release Event Today!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick message that Smudge Fox will be available to buy from the Jellycat website today!

The event begins at 12:00 and you will be assigned a random place in the queue. At the moment, the entire Jellycat website is locked out with a countdown for the event, so you currently are unable to purchase any other Jellycats until the event begins.

So if you want to try and get your hands on him, then head to the Jellycat website quick!
