More Bashful animals added!

Wednesday, May 12th, 2021

Hi guys!

Hope you have had a lovely weekend!

I’ve been making some progress on adding more Bashful animals to the database, but a couple stood out to me that I would LOVE in my collection…

One of these is the Bashful Donkey.

He just looks so cute! He kind of reminds me a little of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, especially now his colour has changed from the original light grey colour to the lavender colour he is now.

The next animal Bashful I would love, but don’t have yet, is Bashful Calf.

I am pleased that Jellycat have gone with a spotty calf as I love how every pattern is unique. And the suede effect tassels on his tail are too cute!

There is also a brown Bashful Cow, which is also very cute.

I am currently planning out my next Jellycat purchase, but I’m totally undecided which to go for at the moment so I’m hanging on for the moment until I’ve made up my mind.

Checklist of Bashful Bunnies complete!

Thursday, April 29th, 2021

Hi guys!

I have some important news for you…the “normal” Bashful Bunnies section of the database is now complete! You can now track your bunny collection using our full list of Bashful Bunnies, and if you’re looking for a particular colour of bunny, you can filter the results to only include, for example, all the blue bunnies.

If I have missed any out, please let me know and I’ll add them in for you.

I still have to add the outfit-wearing bunnies, so that is my next task. I am always happy to add requests to help you with tracking your collection, so if there are any you would like to see on the database, please get in touch!

At this current moment, I don’t have any Jellymail on the way (booo!), although I do have a few on my wishlist, including Paprika Dragon, Olive Dragon and for some reason, I have decided I NEED a Geek Cat in my life.

Have fun using our checklist for your Bashful Bunny collection, and the “dressed bunnies” will be added shortly.

I couldn’t resist…

Wednesday, April 21st, 2021

Hi guys!

If you’ve read my last post, I have been currently collecting dragon Jellycats. I bought a Bashful Dragon in a small and medium size. I also have a Little Sage Dragon and a Little Dexter Dragon.

Don’t they all look so cute pictured together?

I also mentioned before that I was sooo tempted by a Lallagie Dragon, but was trying to resist. Well…I caved and bought him. I’m so glad I did, as he’s so lovely and soft!

He is a lovely colour and these pictures don’t really do him justice. I’d say he’s a sort of minty-green/silver colour. I ADORE his little horns and tiny ears!

His legs are weighted with pellets, making them a little bit floppy. On his back, he has minty green wings and a long tail. His fur has a slightly “wavy” texture but very soft, and his belly is a lot smoother with horizontal stitching across it for detail.

He looks lovely alongside my Bashful Dragons and I’m so glad I bought him. He is taller than my medium Bashful Dragon, measuring about 39cm tall.

Christmas is nearly here!

Friday, December 18th, 2020

Hi everyone!

What a year this has been! But finally, Christmas is nearly here!

I thought with the festive season upon us I would show you five of my favourite Christmas/Winter-themed Jellies!

1. Amuseable Christmas Wreath

First up is the Amuseable Christmas wreath!

Now I absolutely ADORE the Amuseables range. They’re just so cute and quirky, and this little guy is no different. He doubles up as a Christmas decoration too and just makes you smile. Something we all need at the moment!

2. Amuseable Christmas Pudding

Following on from the Amuseables range, is the Amuseable Christmas Pudding!

I’m in two minds with this one…

What I mean is, I can’t quite decide whether to hug him or eat him! He’s too cute to eat, yet he looks so yummy!

3. Bashful Snug Bunnies

Now I know TECHNICALLY these are actually two different Jellycats, they are basically the same Bashful Bunny, just with either a teal or berry coloured snug.

I think out of the two I prefer the teal coloured snug, but I just couldn’t choose! Comment below which is your favourite!

4. Amuseable Avocado – Cozi

There are actually three of these little guys. They came in teal (pictured above), papaya and mustard.

They are an offshoot of the original Amuseable Avocado and they are just so cute in their little winter hats!

I picked the teal version as he is my favourite.

And finally…

5. Snow Dragon

It was so hard to choose between the Snow Dragon, Bo Bigfoot and Yani Yeti and I’m still torn, but in the end I just had to go for the Snow Dragon. He just reminds me sooo much of Falkor in The Neverending Story which was one of my favourite films as a child.

Welcome to Jelly Collector!

Monday, June 29th, 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m really excited because this is my very first post on Jelly Collector!

I already run another website dedicated to Ty Beanies, called Beaniepedia, where you can track your Beanie collection. I am also a huge Jellycat fan, as are a number of members on Beaniepedia, so I’ve decided to create Jelly Collector to track your Jellycat collection too!

Jelly Collector allows you to track what Jellycats you already own or search for new or retired Jellies that are not yet in your collection. If you don’t know the name of a particular Jellycat and are trying to find out more information on it, we also have a handy search feature to help you filter by colour or animal.

I will be posting Jelly-related articles to help you keep up with the latest releases or any Jellycat news I come across that might be of interest to other collectors.

I first came across Jellycat in the shops nearly 20 years ago and the first one I bought was a blue and white funky bug, which seems like an odd choice for a young girl, but I loved him all the same and still own him to this day. I just loved how unique and quirky Jellycat toys were and how they were so different to other toys around at the same time.

Years later, like many others, I fell in love with the Bashful Bunnies range. Below is a picture of my very first Bashful Bunny, a small beige bunny I have nicknamed Flo. She started off my love of the Bashful Bunnies as they are just so adorable and there are so many different colours to collect!

bashful bunny beigeNow there are some amazingly cute Jellies available, and some really unique ones, like the fruits and vegetables in the adorable food range and Dexter the Dragon.

I hope you enjoy using Jelly Collector and stay tuned for later updates!
